Colorful
August 20, 2008
This is my first Thematic Photographic post and I have to say I’m a wee bit nervous. Carmi has asked that we chose an image full of color. My mind drifted, almost immediately, to my trip to Nova Scotia. I adore seaside towns, specifically how they balance the blues of the ocean and the sky with a vibrant array of colors for their boats and houses. I like the greens, blacks and reds in this image.

Enjoy.

Welcome to Thematic Photographic! I hope you have as much fun as I have had and meet lots of terrific bloggers.
I love seaside photos and yours is really beautiful. The wharf hints at a quaintness of the village that I’ll bet provided a great cup of coffee and shops to get lost in!
Lovely! Harbor towns are always great places to capture color!
Great choice for your first Carmi theme. This is a beaut!
You have absolutely no reason to feel nervous! This is brilliant. And I clicked through to your Picasa gallery, and I love the whole set. Welcome to Thematic Photographic. I hope you continue to play along.

Nervous? Why on earth?
This isn’t the killer-professional world of competitions and such. It’s just people sharing some of their favorite images based on a theme. The only “jurying” you’ll get is if you ask for it.
And when Smoofus says you’re good, hey, you’re good. That’s like Snowelf liking your 55 Flash Fiction. Trust me, it’s a good thing.
This shot is a lot like TP. You can tell there’s a lot going on in this place, but nobody’s in too much of a hurry to enjoy the view.
Have a great weekend!
